Fashion Shoots & Cantonese Food

We are officially famous, please form an orderley queue for photos/autographs 😂
This evening, on our way out for dinner, we were stopped by a young girl and a guy with an expensive looking camera and were asked if they could take photos of us. We were a little confused but they explained they were from an online fashion “blog” and were taking pictures of couples street style for a Valentine’s Day post they’ll be putting out on Tuesday. I don’t have style, hence the confusion. Toby was wearing a jumper that says ‘Nike’ in Chinese and I think that’s what caught their attention, so we’ll blame him.

It was quite funny/a little mortifying/awkward as hell BUT we went along with it because they were nice and we felt bad saying no. We had to stand naturally next to each other for one photo, face each other and look affectionate in another (no kissing, that would be odd) and then they took photos of our shoes. Possibly the strangest thing to have ever happened to me while walking down the street..
Once they were done taking photos of us we headed to our favourite restaurant for dinner, a place called Chopsticks. They serve amazing Cantonese food and the best sweet & sour pork ever, sorry West Moors Chinese Takeaway. This restaurant also happens to be underneath the city’s landmark, Canton Tower.

At night this place is lit up and constantly changes colour. They have a revolving restaurant at the top (I’ve always found the idea of those a little strange), countless grabber machines and of course Starbucks have a store here. Fun fact of the day: Canton Tower is the third tallest tower and fifth tallest free standing structure in the world!
The rest of our weekend has been relatively quiet, we’re both recovering from a nasty virus so there has been plenty of R&R.
I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday! Watch out for us on the cover of the next issue of Vogue, hitting newsstands soon 😉 XO
